Great New Zealand Walks
As one of the most beautiful countries in the world, with stunning coastlines and beaches, mountains, rivers and forests, New Zealand offers an incredible range of tramps, whether just a one day hike in the Alps or a ten-day tramp in Rakiura.
There are currently 9 'Great Walks' in New Zealand, all of them more than worth to tramp. Great Walk or not.... Every walk in New Zealand is Great.... take for example the Rob Roy Glacier Track, a fabulous day-walk/climb in the Mount Aspiring National Park. Although not listed as a 'great walk', the track offers stunning views of the glacier and surrounding area.

Rakiura Track - Stewart Island
The Rakiura Track is a 30 kilometre long circuit track starting in the township of Oban in Half Moon Bay.

Abel Tasman Coast Track
The Abel Tasman Coast Track from the Tasman Memorial in Golden Bay to Marahau can be walked in 3 to four days.

Te Araroa - The Long Pathway
Te Araroa (the long Pathway) is the nearly 3000 kilometre long route from the southermost point in the South Island (Bluff) to Cape Reinga, the northernmost point in the North Island. Large parts of the route have now been marked and/or signposted.
